01-14-2008-Connare Tech partners with Juried Art Services LLC
Juried Art Services LLC, which created the first ever Digital Jurying TM system, has partnered with Connare Tech. For many years, art juries have relied on slide projectors to view the work of potential exhibitors. Sets of images were projected in a dark room while descriptions were read over the background hum of projector cooling fans. This process had many inherent problems. Some images were more in focus than others. Color temperature and brightness of bulbs in the projectors could vary widely. The pace of viewing and judging was necessarily brisk, with each set of images being shown for a very limited period of time. The ability to review and reflect on the work by individual jurors was hampered by the inflexibility of the multi projector system. As an artist, your only opportunity to make an impression was within the few seconds your work was on screen. Juried Art Services created the new digital process in 2000 with the Smithsonian Craft Show. The new digital process was a tremendous success and now the digital processed developed by JAS is being used by the most prominent juried craft and fine art shows throughout the entire nation.
Juried Art Services approached Connare Tech looking for a firm to initially maintainread more...

04-10-2007-Account Services for CHS Rugby Go Live
After months of development the CHS Rugby Club today unveiled their account management system. The system developed by Connare Tech allows the City Honors Rugby Football Club to manage and track all of their finances without the messy paperwork.
The City Honors Rugby Club opted to take the easiest, low cost solution, so they are using both Google Checkout and Paypal as payment options. Both Google Checkout and Paypal accept credit cards on the payee’s behalf and then forward the funds to the appropriate source. To accept credit cards directly on a site, the fees start at $50.00 a month. By choosing PayPal and Google this saves the CHS Rugby the cost of monthly gateway fees, server security upgrades and liability in regards to storing credit card information.
An important feature that was requested was the ability to read more...

10-02-2006-Industry Battery Recall Includes Apple, Dell, IBM, Lenovo, and Toshiba.
The list of manufactures recalling batteries grew even longer as Lenovo, IBM, and Fujitsu issued their own recalls. Already on that list manufacturers Toshibia issued another recall for an additional 800,000 laptops and Dell increased its recall from 4.1 million to 4.2 million. The total number of laptops being recalled now totals roughly 7 million.
Lenovo is recalling about half a million laptops that were manufactured between February of 05 and September of 06.
In response SONY has stated that it will soon initiate a global recall of its battery packs which would include laptops manufactured by SONY itself. Other manufacturers including HP and Fujitsu are considering recalls as well.
The issue at state is that the batteries in these laptops are manufactured by Sony and can overheat causing the battery to explode and set the laptop on fire. There have already been a number of reports of Dell laptops overheating and catching fire and Apple has received a few reports of laptops overheating causing burns and property damage. Initially Lenovo began investigation into its own lineup after Dell and Apple issued their own recalls. Lenovo argued that its implementation, design, casing and charging specifications are different from those of Apple and Dell. However earlier this month a Lenovo ThinkPad T43 caught fire at LAX which has since been attributed to a faulty SONY battery.
Please check your battery and visit the manufacturer's site to see if you are affected. All recall information for each manufacturer is listed below.
